Note (NB) — No Gap Detection on Continuous Rolls
Continuous thermal rolls have no physical notch or gap for the printer to index against. Alignment holds for roughly 1 to 3 labels, then feed drift accumulates and the cut position will move out of line. For long production runs, switch to a die-cut sticker roll with a hardware gap sensor.

Label Printing Hardware Optimization
Mode 1: Continuous Receipt RollsFor standard receipt printers (e.g. PT-210, MPT-II). Since these printers lack an optical gap eye, our engine renders each label plus its physical inter-label spacing as a unified bitmap block. Expect reliable alignment for roughly 1 to 3 labels, then switch to die-cut mode for longer runs.
Mode 2: Die-Cut Thermal StickersFor dedicated sticker printers (e.g. Xprinter, Phomemo, Zebra). The engine prints the graphic payload and follows with an ESC/POS
FF (0x0C) command, instructing the printer's sensor to seek and align to the next physical gap seam.
